You Can't Make It UpWhen you have friends...
Last Monday was even nicer than expected
Ellen and I are spending a week in Utrecht. It’s a lovely and old city that has some very pretty canals (as seen below) comparable to those of Amsterdam. The difference is that Utrecht has only two of them, but they’re much prettier, partly due to the wharfs next to them. In the past those were used for loading boats, now they’re filled with beautiful old trees and romantic outdoor cafes and restaurants. 
This means that a great way to explore the city is by boat! We rented a cano for a few hours and had a lovely time seeing the city we already walked through from another angle, especially as Ellen had never canoed before. We had fun.
