I can be a pretty reserved, cautious person. Nevertheless, I want to share the things I make, and I want to have a voice in this world.

These warring ideas somehow wind together to make me a ridiculously self-conscious person. It's seriously impeded my ability to draw, paint and write -- every time I put something down on paper, my mind instantly flits to the same old litany of self-doubt; Is it good? Is it bad? Should I just chuck it out the window now?

The moments in which I can just play and not give a flying f**k what will be said about me are the priceless ones I try to recapture in small moments of my everyday life. So, I'm posting this little drawing/painting of mine to remind me to play. If it doesn't help, please promise me you'll stand in the wings and hit me over the head if necessary.
