what a lovely pose - the lighting gives enough shadows to help reveal your muscular back; I love the lines created with your arms and hands and the ass crack/back of thighs. Even though it was not meant as any sexual thing - it is very sensual and inviting. What is art - whatever is evocative and disturbing - so since you have gotten reactions - I think you can be sure that you are creating art. Does everyone has to like what you create? No. But it is certainly compelling. See my note.

If you would of posted that anywhere else it would be considered porn, and or a shock image. But on deviant art, it is considered art. Art is not what you define it as, that is called porn for pleasure not art. If one guy was to take a pitcure of his asshole with his hands stretching it wide, would you consider it art if he said it was art. Yes you would, but if he said it was a shock image you would be offended.

well see now you're taking it in a different direction, if same said person took his little point and shoot and used one little desk lamp to do same photo, yeah it would be considered porn, use good lighting, add a far angle, not focused on the actual act of the grabbing, then it maybe (keyword maybe) considered art. the definition of art is vague and alot of people do cross the lines, and there are certain decency rules we should all follow, but that Goatse stuff, is bottom of the barrel, and not art in any manner, I'm sure you agree
