Very nice man! I like the rationalization of relevant, but disconnected imagery. Also, I say 'Screw It!' about making the binary code make sense, or have hidden meaning. I think that the whole point of the binary code is to show the difference in the way a human and a computer think. The meaning of the binary code is irrelevant in my opinion. Nice work Xapax!

The idea reminded me of Douglas Coupland for some reason. At times it seemed corny, at times it was nice, but I think it was too long. The ending was clever, I liked it.

I also agree that the binary should have at least some secret messages.

This is definitely a very original and unique piece of work...i love the presentation of the piece as well as its layout...and the fact that the stanzas are in between a mass of binary digits and command lines really portrays the 'anguish' the computer, a machine, goes through trying to analyse something that is so, very human - emotions

Whoohoo! That was like a rollercoaster ride... awesome. Love the "language;" this is something my CS major fiancee would love, hehe.

My only suggestion might be a more creative title? "Computer" seems a bit too generic; after all, the subject of the poem isn't really the computer, is it?

This really is creative. The description said that the computer found an error in a poetry file and wanted to repair it, but reading the poem on its own I got the impression of a sentient-ish computer trying to figure out what love was on its own, and turning to poetry for the answer.

I agree with arcturus, I definately get the computer's frustration here. What I find particularly beautiful is the way the machine language contrasts so strongly with the human-language poetry the computer finds. I think it's best at the "Your hand / Can touch / Mine..." part, because the 0s and 1s are so pale compared to the visceral things humans experience - binary will never be able to encompass the the feel of skin on skin, and machines that can calculate and search faster than we ever could are the ones missing out.

I actually think this would be cool to experiment in motion with. Might be just 'cause I tend to be visual, but I can see this working wonderful with the text rolling down the screen, the way the computer would have it on-screen, and then suddenly stopping over the poetry it finds. And maybe some frustrated-machine noises...

And now that you've made me think about something long enough to write all this, you're getting a
