Description Here's another slightly newer piece from me, an ol' commish. An attendant at AWA commissioned me after the con to do a pic of the new Brave Fencer Mushashi. I had just seen the pics (also just discovering there was a new one), and since I still haven't played the game, I'd say from a visual standpoint that I still prefer the art of the original. He and I were on the same page there, so I used the opportunity to do a fanart of the old blue haired guy in the process. It's not the most complicated pic I've ever done, but I cranked out the inks at a pretty good pace so for that I still really enjoy it.

Actually, Its a different musashi. It suppose to be a different universe/world that deals with a musashi. I played both games, similar things but different all around.

I'm not sure what the newer game was supposed to be, a "semi-sequelic reimagining" maybe? I'm really not sure why they changed Mushashi in the new game, I thought their design had a great opportunity to transition to a sequel.

Eh, the newer one probably looks and plays better technically, but the real Mushashi wouldn't be caught dead in that outfit.

I just need to do a Blue Musashi pic sometime, some of those designs were pretty fun. Heck, I don't think I've even beat the game yet! That and Alundra have been sittin' on my "later" list for years!

Admittedly though, the new Mushashi couldn't be nearly as bad as how Robopit 2 turned out. Now I know why that franchise died *sniff*.

Yeah, I love that game. Really simple mechanics, but still exciting. Definitely has aged a lot though, one of its pros was that it was one of the earliest PSX games you could buy, along with like, Ace Combat/Jumping Flash/Cybersled/etc. I personally feel it was one of the deepest early Playstation games to play other than Jumping Flash or SFA. This was all pre-Square invasion of course. Folk were still recovering from Mario RPG's golden glow, and I think our Toys R Us still had their demo of Sonic & Knuckles up at the games section (that thing was there forever)!

But eh, Robopit 2 was a joke. Found it for $5 at Gamestop, unaware of its existence prior. It hardly even seemed done. I think some dev team must have scrapped it halfway through and like, a college campus picked up and got it far enough to put in a box and sell. I think it'd be a great franchise to bring back, but I haven't played the recent Armored Cores or Custom Robos, so I dunno how well the concept stacks up today by comparison.

I just got my brave fencer musashi fixed so mow im pallyin it .....i suck so badly ....i used to be better ans not die as much .... oh well
