“CARRION!” Lincoln’s voice boomed even over the sound of the sea’s crashing waves.

A white mass stopped with a cracked grin, whirling around to face Fellfang’s alpha as blood and spittle flew from his gaping jaws. Despite the male’s ragged breathing, his voice remained raspy. Unsettling. “You… foolish child. You were warned. You fight, you die.”

Carrion’s lips curled into a wicked sneer as he jerked his head in the direction of Aerandel Island. “And we will start with the maggots that stayed home.”

A loud, furious snarl tore from Lincoln’s lips. “No! You stinking, white bastard! You are the fool if you think I’ll let you harm another hair on my Skuld’s pelts!”

Teeth and claws bared, the Jarl threw himself at Carrion. The General rose to meet the attack, jaws peeling back to reveal rows of sharp, bloodied teeth. Their bodies collided harshly, erupting into a mess of seawater, fur, and guttural snarls.
