Update: I just updated the previous WIP so I wouldn't have too many of them in my gallery. Anyway, this is the last update until I finish it
Something I just started working on. It kinda reminded me of a tattoo design when I did the concept with ink. LA ink influence, what can I say? XD
Anyway, this drawing has a meaning but I won't tell you what it is
And I forgot how good it feels to work with graphite! It really puts me in a good mood so that will keep me motivated to continue working on this

Looking good so far. Will be interesting to follow the progress of this, especially where the wings are concerned.
The paper looks quite heavily textured, is it? If so is there any reason why you choose textured of smooth? Personally when I've tried textured paper I just don't get the desired results.
Also, glad to see you back on the Graphite pencils. In my opinion your best drawings are with Graphite.

About the paper, I'm using the watercolor paper for this one, but I turned the smooth side, the backside. So it's not really textured at all but it's still different from working on the ordinary printing paper cause it's a lot thicker. I'm trying out something new here, but just a bit. For example, I'm using more of the H pencils than before and I'm really focusing on getting the contours right and make them really stand out with highlights and bit harder outlines. You'll see what I mean when I update it again
