"I pulled into the driveway- MY driveway- and slammed the door of my old, beat-up turquoise pick-up shut. Hauling out my messenger bag, I climbed out of the monstrosity I claim to love, and stood infront of my new house to get a good look. The house looked different in daylight- of course I'd only seen it late last night, seeing as I just arrived. It towered over me, tall and narrow and violently purple, with live ivy creeping up on all sides, almost covering the window in the front centre. I'd have to fix that. I stepped inside slowly and flicked on the light switch to discover that there were, infact, no lightbulbs. I'd have to fix that aswell. Oh well, the dappled light filtering in throughout the ivy-covered window was light enough for me. I certainly didn't expect this house to be exactly ready to live in- I inherited it from my aunt when she passed away 4 years ago. God knows why she chose me among my eight million other siblings. I mean, we did have a heart-to-heart every once in a while, but my family is HUGE. I used to live New York with my 5 sisters, 2 older brothers, mom, dad, and grand parents. All in one house. It was crazy, but we love each other all to death. Maybe she just knew I'd need it. But at any rate, I'm grateful."
