Straight away, I just have to point out this was purely an experimental picture. Based around an idea I had ever since Riku's KH3 render reveal. Alot of people say how Riku looks 'just like' Noctis or how Nomura is trolling XV by making Riku look similar (and how his key looks like a car key which somehow means it's the key to the Regalia..... what? lol) and im just over here liking the design itself XD but if the idea's out there, why not go with it for the sake of art? ^_^ i can see the similarities for sure but i'm not going to fall into that argument because I like both series!

Those things aside, there's also the fact that Noctis has to deal with his own 'darkness' as it were with Eos losing it's light. Whereas Riku, deals with his own inner darkness in his heart. Both being a threat to destroy everything they know.

So this was really simple as far as posing goes because of the idea but also because this is the first picture i've attempted in full detail with everything i've learned so far thanks to some very awesome people (you know who you are! ) on an MMD model. Mostly because as far as i know there's no KH3 mods for XPS . I'm grateful to be able to work with this though. Using MMD models to such a degree is completely new to me and i'm very much used to XPS and feel it's easier in many ways. MMD models are challenging when trying to figure out texturing, editing parts, etc. Which is why the full picture picture isnt shown, and why Noctis is a bit more prominently seen than Riku. The bottom half of the image is pretty messed up. Posing models period in blender is a task in and of itself! O_O. Maybe one day i'll be able to learn more in the future, but for now, this is a rare instance I wanted to see if i could make the idea possible.

Overall speaking, I do love the coloring. It might be a little too bright, too saturated, or white-washed in some places but I was trying to go for a mystical...ish look. I loooove how I got Noctis' eyes to look T_T that reflection is something i've been trying to achieve for a long time and i'm just glad the lighting hit it just right. Noctis (who is not up for grabs. Sorry. Don't ask) is always fun to work with though ^_^ For Riku, i think for a first attempt here, I like best the way his skin and clothes came out.
