I'm sorry my art is so odd and my shading is terrible as usual. I'm really, really bad with colors.
This was my first attempt at drawing a fish.
I hope you all like Rin.

Personality:
Though he spends his time in libraries, he is fairly outgoing and enjoys talking with people he knows. With strangers, he can be quiet, but if the person he is talking shows interest, he will go out of his way to strike up a conversation every time he can.

Though Rin may seem like a nice and likable character at first, he really is quite distant and he secretly judges people from afar. He is far too polite to point this out to people though, but he likes keeping distance because he is not quite used to being social quite yet. He also can be set off really easily/annoyed if you try to make him elaborate on touchy subjects. (i.e. his highschool years) He can also a lot smarter than you may think. It's probably best not to piss him off or he will get violent.

History

-His father is the owner of a popular bookstore branch in the city and his mother is a graphic designer. Rin can usually be found wandering around in libraries or the bookstores and has a wide array of book at his disposal. His room is coated in books and he spends most of his time reading. His favorite things to read are Shakespeare and he will often make references to them. His favorite one is "Twelfth Night" because he finds it humorous and he tells himself that his ideal girl is someone like Viola, though he has yet to find a girl he really likes, so he doesn't really know what his type is.

-He had lived in Japan for 14 years before moving to Sydney for high-school/secondary school. He had moved mostly because of his father having moved to Australia to get more involved with his company. His background for high-school was that he was the newer student and made no effort to make new friends.(Mainly because he felt it useless to make ties with anyone in case he moved again) He found company in reading books. He ended up having a liking for Shakespeare after hating it for so many years. He's had an infatuation for it since. He calls his books his escape from bitter reality. He rambles about them frequently.

-Before he moved to Austrailia, he attended junior high with a certain girl . She was his best friend, but in junior high, she had been in an accident that caused her to lose her memory. Having trouble being in school due to her completely forgetting him, he was even more convinced to leave home.

-Rin can see his and other Spirit Fish, but he cannot see the color of his own. He likes his Spirit Fish a lot, but he will compliment others Spirit Fish since he believes his to be "a boring old carp". Since his Spirit Fish is a Kumonryu, it changes colors quickly throughout the season and whenever Rin is showing any sort of strong emotion. Most of the time, it will show when Rin is angry rather than when he is embarrassed. (It will just simply pop out when he is embarrassed)

-We wears two blue pins in his hair and he will only feel confident enough to speak with others with them on. If someone takes them off/touches them or he finds them missing, he gets very embarrassed and tries to get them back immediately. He has a lot more of them at his house however, but he dislikes it when he loses one.

-Rin carries a knife with him at all times inside his jacket. The reasons for this, he wishes not to share.

-Rin will casually take out his iPhone to look up things. Mainly to surf the internet or to look up directions. He has a bunch of random apps and when he is not reading, he secretly plays "Pretty Pet Salon" an addicting little game for the iOS. He owns all the versions and has a small problem of spending all his iTunes money towards it.

-Though he may not show it, Rin is a real pessimist and his friendly personality is really his way of trying not to burden anyone else with how horrible he really is. (Or how he thinks he is.)

-Rin tells himself to be nice to everyone he meets in order to be generally friendly and likable since he was an outcast when he was younger. He still keeps a distance from others and won't get close to many people. If he ever seems like he is flirting, he is probably being nice for your sake. (Though you can check with me whether or not he likes your character.)

-Rin lives by himself and he decorates his apartment condo in a high-modern fashion. He is a bit of a neat freak, especially when it comes to rearranging his bookshelves, which adorn his walls. His clothing choices however are more European and he dresses quite formally when going out. When at home however, he wears more casual attire. He owns several kimonos, but doesn't really wear them. He does however sleep in a cotton Yukata (I think you guys remember this one from the Intro Meme.) and will wear one all day if it is hot enough. His apartment is located on the 20th floor of an upper class building.

-He likes stuffed dolphins and turtles and keeps them hidden in his room. He named the turtle Speedy after the character from PPS. He also has a panda named Pandingo....also from PPS. Mention this if you do not know him as well and he will forcibly remove you from his room.

-He is categorized as an SS (Super Sadistic) for a reason. Don't set him off. (Because chances are, you'll piss me off.)

-NOTE: When he gets "flustered" and when he "blushes" are two different meanings. Flustered is when he gets nervous or ashamed. (probably due to clumsiness or excessive talking) Blushing is when he is truly embarrassed. Though really, it is all a matter of context, but some of you may get confused.

I have a copy of this book at home, and I really recommend it. It's not too hard to read at all and it's very funny. Especially if you like crossdressing lol
