Description
Here's my ffth tutorial. It's what not to do when dolling. Please leave a comment linking to any dolls you make using this because I'd love to see them. <3 Oh, please do NOT take anything out of this tutorial. The little MSPaint icons at the top, I made those based off of the real ones that come with the program and I wish that no one takes anything from here. If you use my reference as your own, that's fine. But don't take stuff off of my tutorial for your own dolls, pixel art, etc.WARNING. CONTAINS NUDITY. NO GRAPHIC DETAILS. BUT THE BASE IS NUDE!

I use gradients in my base edits, but thats WITH shading
Which is technically called Mutt shading
Anyway, this is great, though I'd never need a tutorial like this~ How I want to send this to SO many people I know OTL
They'll learn....one day.

Sorry, I'm just now coming across this and I laughed at that last bit about keeping the gradients in flash games. XD So true.

Heh, I'm glad that made you laugh. I've seen it so many times. It's not even hand-drawn anymore since you just flood-fill and save. XD

That's really cute! You did a good job. I love the dress. I would suggest you use a little more contract in your palettes and make the hair's shape a tad more realistic, but other than that it's great. Keep up the great work! : D
Also, don't forget to shade under the hair!

Nice tutorial, but actually the 3rd method looks good. *-*

Thank you.
XD The third method isn't even dolling anymore, though.

Perhaps it would be good to include an example of the good way too, for comparison.

Most people did, so it's nothing really to be ashamed of as long as you don't do it anymore. 'cept a few things are allowed to be pillow-shaded, like certain metals.

Was not! I was talking about Hayley's Draw-the-folds-then-scribble-down. Shading likes yours and Elanorea's [sp??] styles aren't under that category. I'm talking about using four colors: outline, quick stiff folds, base, giant scribble going down the middle and on top of folds highlight. Understand?

I was joking silly I totally scribble though. I think its an advanced form of it, so I feel redeemed.
