After watching the latest episode, I'm fully under the impression that Ludo has become mesmerized by the wand to the point where he's not entirely himself anymore. Buff Frog is seems like he wants to stop Ludo, as he says he's gonna warn Star, but at the same time, I believe Buff Frog cares about Ludo, and he know's that the wand is making him do things he ordinarily wouldn't do, making him even worse than before. I think more than anything, Buff Frog wants to save Ludo from its grasp.

Yeah you can definitely say that Ludo has gotten some kind of a character change. I feel he's gotten more serious and is not really himself anymore. I kinda hope we get to see the "old" Ludo again towards the season end. Sure he's still the same dork, but the whole wand obsession is sort of,,, creepy?? :'D

I've come to think of Ludo less like a villain and more like a pitiful victim of his own desires. In the attempt to make him more of a serious villain I think it's actually made him even more pathetic than before. He's a puppet to the wand. He thinks he's in control, but it's really him being manipulated the whole time. I think once the wand gets what it wants from Ludo it will try to dispose of him. Part of me likes to think that there's some sort of soul deep inside his mentally, physically rotting husk. He could very well become sickly over the course of the season as we see him lose control. I predict something along the lines of Ludo needs to be stopped, and Buff Frog knows that he needs to be stopped, and it's possible Star might need to go to extremes if necessary, but he'll plead with Star, since he's known Ludo for a very long time, quite possible since before Star was even born, possibly 20 years or more, that he believe's there's a good person somewhere inside Ludo and that he has her promise that if she can, try to save him. Being who she is and the type of person she is, she's skeptical, but grants him that promise.
