This is a colored version of the wonderful 's Serenity chibi:

Of course, Sailor Moon is owned by the incomparable Naoko Takeuchi!

I printed out her lineart on my sketch book paper as it is thick enough to hold watercolor but thin enough to go through my printer.

The challenge for me was coloring her in a way that my scanner would pick up on, and that meant being more heavy handed than normal as my watercolors can often be delicate and light. I went for heavier shading and darker colors, which of course was all lost in the scanning! I patted myself on the back, finally all the details are in the finished scan!

I also wanted to draw Serenity with white hair as in Naoko Takeuchi's gorgeous illustrations. That of course meant the risk of the image being flat and too white, so I threw in loads of pinks and purple and blues to lift the white and make it come alive

I'm happy with the finished result! Wish me luck! I would love winning, as the prize is my very own Sureya chibi!
