Description
This illustration is one of seven each featuring one monster from Serbian / Balkan mythology.
Each illustration also contains a short text (the name of the given monster in Serbian, and translation into German and Latin) scanned from an old serbian dictionary first published in 1818.
This was one of the art projects at my fourth year et Uni.

In serbian mythology, witches are believed (among other things) to attack people in their sleep, open their chest and eat the victim's heart.
