(Step F&G)Now the fun starts! I open the EPS in Adobe Illustrator 8.0 and resave it as just an illustrator file. Right from the start, I wasn't happy with the expression on the face and decided to redraw it. Using the pen tool I redraw the face using the existing face as a rough template. The expression wasn't happy enough on the original drawing, so I tried to draw a more blissful expression.
(Step G)
Illustrator allows you to work in both a preview mode as well as in wire frame mode that shows all the lines.

Sorry for the confusion, this was more of a "how I do things" rather than an actual "How to" tutorial. When I'm working on an illustration, I do a lot of things on the fly, so it's a little tough even for me to keep track of all the little things I do. Sometimes I even confuse myself.
