My favorite in your gallery i think.. This is amazing & so beautiful. So much detail! Very powerful. Love the way the woman & man are painted. Slick & glowy; kinda eerie.. Atmosphere feels dark. Love how it separates man & woman, & stresses how different they are from each other.. For sure in body; which is done beautifully, but also there's a separation you feel from each OTHER; that they're both so different.. Yet still feel a sense of connectedness? Anyway.. You are SO incredibly talented! Thank you for sharing your artwork with the world : )

I'm getting a very philosophical and psychological message from this.
The sides of the apple differences the the two distinct personalities of Men and Women, the infinite thin line that divides us.
The fact that their on the edge of something, themselfs?!
And of course their's a religious symbolism to, but it is well "hidden" just for the fact for being there.
My interpretation thought.
Nice piece. How long did it took you?

Thanks. I really like your interpretation, it's really interesting. Can't really tell you how long it took though, I don't remember, but I think this one was done quite fast. It's not a very large painting.

the colors are lovely, the only thing that bothers me and keeps my eyes drawn to it are the rock's/ground's texture.

maybe it could be different so it doesn't stand out so much, but maybe that's just me.

This is a great piece i love the color and contrast in it. Please what inspired you to do this? it reminds me of the Story of Adam and eve, but that is only because of the apple.
Nice work!

Well you know, Adam and Eve story is pretty much the first thing that comes to mind for everyone I guess, and that's very understandable, altough that wasn't my intention in the first place.
I guess the idea came to my mind like any other painting idea; it holds no true intention, it's to images what a figure of speech is with words.... sortta...
I do remember we had a class assignment for which we had to work with an object of choice, and I had this dried apple in my room for a while that I just decided to use. And after that I used it again for this painting.
I have another piece (Rainy season memorial) in which the flesh of the apple is shaped like a female torso. For Silent surrender, I kinda did the opposite; each side of the apple is shaped like the back's silhouette of the male and female characters. It's a little bit like they emerge from the apple, or the apple emerges from them. Anyhow, they are connected somehow.
Hope it answers your question. Thanks for your comment!

Yeah, i wasnt surte if that was your intention, i figured it wasnt but i thought i would say something anyhow. THis is really nice. I understand fully, i often times just start with a line or doodle and moove from there, and other times i think long and hard about my work.
Either way this is a great piece. i will have to search more of your work.
