This drawing got me to research both the poem Ruslan and Lyudmila as well as 9th/10th century Russian horseback riding tack. Speaking of which, Ruslan would probably use a saddle/bridle. Thanks for inspiring me to learn about these things

I love your subtle palette and the way you've done the vegetation in general. The clouds are wonderful. I like how you didn't make them too bright--it's just right! Very realistic, and I like Ruslan's thoughtful look here as he gazes off into the distance (probably thinking about Lyudmilla).
