With a name like that, she should have something to do with [link]again trying new things and just when I was thinking I wanted a different palette, I came across this tutorial [link]
Also I usually color with the watercolor too lately but this time I decided to change it upt a bit because I was inspired after watching Linkara's review of the All Star Batman and Robin comics [link] because even though the story sucks the art was beautiful which inspired me to try to color soft like that (not that it looks similar at all but that's the inspiration xD)

color or hairstyle? The hairstyle I just went with a look that you actually see a lot on women on tv lately (or at least teenagers)

yeah well the fact that the hair is shorter in the front with that hairstyle is a bit odd but that's what I think makes it a bit more original. But I've seen women who tie their hair like that though they usually use a hairclip. My sisters have styled it like that and so have I. I also remember seeing it on Heroes and Wizards of Waverly Place xD
It's not something you see a lot on anime though (although Amu from Shugo Chara sometimes styles it like that though a bit to the side)
