Ridley is a result of trying to create the perfect being. Mewtwo was flawed, created to be an adult and think more clearly. Ridley was given a different approach. He was once human, less than a year of age when his body was forced to fuse with the DNA of a mewtwo which turned him into the shiny pokemon. He was fluffier than other mewtwo for unknown reasons, but it gave him more of an identity. His markings were also unknown, but once again, it gave him more of a significant identity.
