My latest vector art.
Done in Illustrator 10 for the first time, and gaussian blur filter applied in Photoshop 7.

yes...
duplicate the layer, gaussion blur it, turn the opacity down. Play with either multipy, screen or overlay mode on the blurred layer, u will be surprised with the result come out.

at what stage of the drawing did you do it?
did you finish the drawing, copy and past the entire thing on a new layer, Then gussian blur it?

awesome.. great job with the detail.. im having trouble with stuff like that.. and the blurring is nice.. never seen bluring look that good for vectors.. i think its the mix of the detail and the blur that just kinda.. makes it look realistic..

yes.... some of my vector artworks will be applied with gaussian blur filther when i feel that the vector should look better in soft feel.... you guys should try.... really simple yet nice trick!!
