I've not really kicked my artblock; I had drawn this before I hit the artblock and just went and colored it now to chill out.

So for a while now since I've started the G Gundam streams, I've been starting to wonder whether or not Domon could technically be considered to be on the Autistic Spectrum. When the-dragon-childe shared a tumblr post with me where someone else started to headcanon that as well, it gave me some reassurance that perhaps I'm not the only one that sees signs that could be considered to mark him as an Autistic Spectrum individual. Sooo...

Headcanons for Autistic Spectrum!Domon Kasshu:
He is intelligent, though it is a different kind of intelligence from that of his scientifically-inclined family. He tends to be oblivious to 98% of all social cues because he has the social skills of a grumpy child, and 10 years isolated in the wilderness to train didn't help this. These things don't help one another and often result in people assuming that Domon is completely stupid, which isn't the case.
Martial arts and competitive sports based around fighting/martial arts are his special interest. It also doubles as a coping mechanism/outlet for not being very adept at trying to express his own thoughts and feelings verbally.
He struggles to empathize with others or pick up on their emotions unless it's an extremely strong emotion or the situation's already emotionally charged. He's actually better than most A.S.I.'s at reading the body language of other people, though, thanks to his training!
Further aspects of his Autistic behavior come across in his voice, as he tends toward monotone rhythms in his speech and often struggles with volume control.
Too much time away from social interaction hasn't helped him to learn when he shouldn't just blurt out whatever is on his mind.
Romantic cues/interest/flirting go right over his head.
He tends to get along better with animals than people, as evidenced by his gentle behavior with Master Asia's horse, Fuun Saiki.
That's about it for the moment. I'm sure I'll add more bullet points as we keep going through the stream sessions~. (This little bugger grew on me, despite his angstlord prerogatives.)
Also, agh, his gloves are supposed to be fingerless. ; ; RIP, me.
