Description I know there are good renders out there.
This was made for those people who take cartoon screenshots or even other peoples fanworks removing the backgrounds and uploading them to DA..
What bothers me the most of that most of them paste their own "signatures" on them.. and DEMAND credit and link back to them.. as if they owned or actually made those drawings..

last week i visited some girl who has a gallery filled with renders , so i noted it about it cause she was using works from people of DA.. she said it was cool cause she posted the link to the originals.. i replied to her with "..a link to your own photobucket account DOES NOT count as a link to the original.. also your asking credit for them as if you owed them.."
And.. she has not replied back.

Screenshot im using is from a show called Mayo Chiki! ..ive never seen it to be honest, i just googled anime screenshots . --Original : [link]

This is the internet.
I don't know what you expected when you bought your computer, but you obviously had the wrong idea.

Yes, just because "its the internet" is a perfect excuse to let people steal and ruin artwork.
If they can edit art work because "its the internet" then people can also bitch about how wrong it is.

This is the internet.
At the end of the day, you should at-least watermark your work.

But the issue remains; What do you lose from other people using your art in their signatures?
How, exactly, does it hurt you?

It doesn't.
You're suffering from a bout of vanity - You're angry that someone ELSE is getting the glory.

If your art really IS good, you should be secure enough in your own skill and creativity to disregard other people's praise, regardless of component.

money, credibility, years of actual work go to the trash
im not sure if youre familiar with actual careers and jobs called : graphic designer, ilustrator, game designer, color artist, comic editor, animator, cartoon designer, website creator, and much more

those make a living out of artwork and other types of digital works.
lets say a videogame programmer and an ilustrator get together to make a videogame with shows week work works ilustrator and decide to upload some previews at a kickstarted to found their project
then someone like you comes along with the " internet = free" mentality and steals all the drawings edits them and uploads them as  as his own creations.
two honest people loose what could have been a proyect , proyect that well founded meaned potential job offers for many young ilustrators without a work..
same goes for small companies of ilustrators and cartoonists who try their best to get founds to start their own cartoon.. if someone hacks their online site or email and takes all the character designer proyect get ruined and they all loose your jobs.

this are actual real like situations
so no, this has nothing to do with glory or vanity
its about people that need to change and think everything from the intetnet is free

im not sure if you know but theres also something called " copyright"
so the owner of the original picture can now legally sue whoever is steaking or editing their works
you might wanna take a look at one of the multiple sites who support this >  www.copyrightontheinternet.com…

"I don't know what you expected when you bought your computer, but you obviously had the wrong idea."
seriously?  the question itself is hilarious
why dont you ask companies like SONY, NINTENDO or CAPCOM , what they expected when they bough over 5k computers?

'Render' (Wikipedia): [link]
It has nothing to do with cutting images out.

Those definitions (as it says there) are from computer therms and industry
Theres a non official (non on wikipedia) other kind of renders in wich people take artwork and remove the backgrounds and others elements in order to make them easy to use/edit.

Sites dedicated to this: [link] [link]
90% of this sites never credit the original author. and have a "who edits it can claim to be author" way of working.

renders are called the resource use as textures and lights to give the feeling of 3D, in a simple image actually this is a render:

the problem is that people without knowledge create a misconception about the renders, and there are stereotypes, which in fact they do, will not render, they steal, and saturate the images
