Not every happy ending is without its faults.

Asriel keeps a shoebox under their bed that holds what few memorables of his life Underground. On a nice summer's day, he decides to give it a peek.

That was a mistake.

Among the shallow flood of trinkets, he finds but one painful reminder of what he truly lost. Oh, how terribly he still misses Chara. It drives him to tears.

Whereupon Frisk finds them and offers what little comfort they can, as their sibling. They are not Chara, but they still do what they can for their brother.

It will be alright, Asriel. Everything will be alright.

While I struggled with drawing two people hugging, getting their anatomy and poses right, I enjoyed going crazy with the lighting. The light shining on them isn't meant to be religious or anything, I wanted it to be by a window on a sunny day as to create a strong contrast between light and shadow. I also needed to look up a guide on how to draw droplets, and I think they have come out well on the photograph.
