Yet again another Dresden design.Yeah, he look different in each of my drawings that's why I decided I should do a "proper" version.
I also don't understand how my original design still gets favs, because I'm not a big fan of it. Hopefully this looks better.

Maybe this is subconscious hero Harry. Like, if you chip away at subconscious jerkass Harry, this idealized self-image of himself as a hero who can save everyone is underneath all of that sarcasm and snark.

he's kinda too muscle-y for the mental image I have of Harry.
But if I was seeing the pic without having read the books, I'd totally love it and want o read the book. He looks SO COOL.
Also, despite the lack of glove, he looks very Dead Beat, what with the runes glowing with hellfire and emitting smoke!

sorry to creep into this convo but i'm scared to watch the show cuz i heard there's a bunch of differences from the books. do you like the show inyhow?

Well... There are characters with same names and the main character does magic... But that's all that is common with the show and books 
So in short, if you like the color and action in the books, don't watch the show. But if you like modern fantasy, yeah give it a chance. There aren't that many episodes so you won't loose much anyway.

Really? I like her but don't remember her in it. But then the only episode I clearly remember is with the kid and the crow people. That was one hell of a good story.

the episode was called 'The Other Dick' where Harry is trying to get his PI License. I think my favourite episode is 'Things That go Bump' where everyone is hold up in Harry's house...

I only started to read the books when I saw the cover to Ghost Story...I have a lot of catching up to do, only on Summer Knight.

Wow. That looks really good, especially the fire around his staff. Guess this is from before Blood Rites, since he doesn't have a glove.
Only thing that bugs me is that he looks too...clean. I guess I just always imagine Harry as being a bit scruffy looking, and usually having a bruise or two.

What you say does makes sense but he does get messed up in his adventures. He usually is clean at the beginning of the books. And he always takes his cold shower and shaves (always thought that was a bit weird). But yeah, maybe I'll do a roughed up version of him too.
