Description
[EDIT: This is very old, unrevised, and possibly confusing. I'd like to redo this tutorial someday. If this tutorial makes any sense to you still, I'm glad.]I finally remembered. This tutorial was supposed to be done 2 to 3 years ago. I am so, so sorry to the person I promised this to. That person probably forgot by now though. OTL
It's a real, legitimate tutorial this time. With another appearance of Nameless! I've decided that he will be our tutorial man. He will be the person who'll help us in all of Yuu's tutorials! Yes, of course he's happy doing this, just look at him. See the happy in his eyes? Anyway, this isn't the best tutorial and I'm terrible at explaining things, but I hope it still helped, at least, just a bit. If there are any questions or concerns, please let me know!
Things I forgot to add, oops:
-Typos, typos everywhere! It's "SFS", not "SRS"!
- I exaggerated on the ruffles to look bumpy and curved, in and out. Really, it doesn't matter all too much because it's going to be hidden, sewn under the hem of the clothing anyway. Just so long as you add depth to the ruffles, to make them look tightly folded like they are in real life. You can add depth by creative inking when you do the lineart, and shading. c:
- The farther away from the camera the ruffles are, the smaller and closer together they are (but this only goes for that example of perspective. If we're using the examples A and B in the tutorial, then this rule of perspective is not effective. The rule for this one is already written above.)(This is confusing, I don't even know what I'm saying, I'm sorry. Study perspective, that's the most solid advice I can give you. I'm sorry for my incompetence.)
...That is the most ridiculous dress I've ever designed. Aside from that though, did anyone catch the pun? e u e

Even if you said it's old, unrevised and possibly confusing, It's one of the best ones I ever found! Most of them teach you only the rectangular or the rounded type in only one POV. Yours give us a better view of the ruffles, gives more "flowing" to them, different types and of course, a cheerful model in a very frilly dress to close with a flourish XD ! I'm looking foward for a redone version! I hope to see more about constructing/designing a "flowing" like fabric with ruffles (including the laced one, which I personally liked the best and think is harder T v T ) ! It would be amazing! I really like it and you did make a very good tutorial!

I'm so sorry for the late reply! I appreciate your feedback, and it really pumps me to make a new tutorial and possibly more covering other topics! I think for the redone tutorial, I plan to mainly deconstruct the technique to create perspective on the ruffles and also to incorporate direct examples of ruffles and sewing. Thank you for your support! ( /; v ; )/
