Sew, here's my tutorial about how I draw my pixel horses
Sorta big file... Its not very complicated. I read through it and it makes sense to me. I hope it makes sense to you too

I like the concept, but it's not a legit pixel if you use any other tools than the pencil and the eraser (; But I like the finished result any how.

Hello, I Know this question isnt for me but... I thought i give my answer a shot!
What I Do Is get a reference *dont trace but just watch the body pose* and sketch it.. then make another layer and pixel over it! c: hope this helps! c:

Actually your computer should already have paint, as its a standard program. If you open "Start" "All Programs" "Accessories" "Paint" ;D

You can scan a hand drawn picture in, pixel it in black and then do the same trick~

Honestly, I was lost. I guess it was a good tutorial for those who understand this sorta stuff, but I'm extreamly new to pixel crap. Do you have any tips. MY thing is I have the lineart, but how do I make the body and stuff look pixely

With layers. You put a new layer under the lineart layer and color everywhere. Then you use the magic wand tool to select outside of your lines and delete the color from the color layer. Does that make sense?
Maybe I could find you a tutorial or draw one up...

You're not stupid. You create a layer above the sketch, then you use the pencil tool which is at the top of the page (you'll see the worsh "brush" in a drop-down menu, click on the word "pencil" in that menu). Then you just draw! Its a tedious job, one pixel at a time ;_; but its worth the patience and the effort.

i love this!! oh yea and the horses front leg is bent as if he is walking right? if you went to straighten it out, it seems longer then the other one (:

Thank you. Actually, the bend in the ankle allows for the length. If he were to stand on all 4 legs and lean his weight on that ankle, he'd be fine <3
