Nice job! That's a quick transformation for the dead girl. Vampires like that would spread like the plague (or even worse!).
Some other ideas:
Demon (so many choices! From the standard red devils to eldritch tentacle horrors)
Doppleganger (kinda vague, but in fantasy stuff they're typically ugly like a skinny albino or grayish orc)
Ghoul (maybe it wears human flesh instead of actually changing)
Jeckyl/Hyde
For women:
Mermaid
Witch / Baba Yaga (long claws, warts, long nose, looking old and such)
Fairy (Ex: you see a brilliant flash of light as she sheds her incognito clothing and unfurls her wings)

Demons will have plenty of varieties, I do want to get the exorcist style possession too
dopplegangers I might avoid just because there are so many other creatures that also have transformation and it might get repetitive
ghouls that would be very creepy
jeckyl/hyde for sure, but that'll be a boss type instead of something anyone can become. Though maybe there is a serum you can drink too.
mermaids of course, they might have a 'monster' form too.
witches with magic I plan to do, can start of beautiful normal woman then suddenly change too
Fairy I'm doing very soon. Might turn you tiny since a human size fairy might look too much like an angel

If you're talking about the angel transformation you already did, I don't see how there could be any mistaking that for fairies. The angel's wings aren't attached to the body and seem more symbolic than anything else whereas the fairy's wings could be attached and look like butterfly wings (as opposed to angels' wings typically being like bird wings). Also, I see the fairy's wings as being able to furl/unfurl at will, like a newly hatched butterfly's wings but way more durable (being able to fold up again). But feel free to ignore all this as it's just my own vision of how fairies should be (and how they are in my game world). It'll be interesting to see your interpretation and what you come up with.
