Hi! I was directed to your tutorial as I'm exploring pixel art.
I'm having difficulty grasping how you use the masks. I think I understand how to make them, but hwo do you use them???

Once you create one, everything you draw on the clipping mask will only show inside the whatever is drawn on the layer below it.

MS Paint IS hard. xD PS isn't working for me so I'm kinda stuck with Paint. I don't have extra time like I use to, so my pixelling stinks. *laughs*
But doesn't PS take a while with animation? Every time I used the animation, my PS would take several minutes to load and all. :/ I eventually stopped using the animation.

It definitely takes time and practice to get into the flow of things! Have you tried Gimp? I've never used it before but I know a lot of people who do
It doesn't take long for me, but I have a new computer and I'm using Frame animation (idk if that makes a difference), as opposed to timeline.

Hmm, I think I did use the timeline. I don't know Photoshop to well. xD
I haven't tried Gimp, but I've heard lots good things about it. I might try it in the future.

ohh gawddd you're shading is sooooo pro.
Even if I try, I just can't grasp the concept of like... idk.. which parts should be darker and whatnot.. when I do it it doesn't look totally pro like yours. XD YOU CATCHIN MY DRIFT??
