Description
Sorry for submitting so many deviations in one day, I'm just so much behind that my comps submission folder is packed with unsubmitted stuffs***
Then to the tutorial:
I've been asked to do this a few times, so I finally scrambled up something for a very quick tutorial.
This is not supposed to teach anyone to draw perfectly, I just wanted to show the way I start every drawing and how I get the anatomy right very easily. This is a VERY GOOD way!
Once you get used to this technique and it comes naturally, you will have no problems with basic anatomy, no more strange size limbs
Part of the way I draw these days (the stickman figures with the "balljoints") is all thanks to ~k-tiraam and her wonderful manga drawing class she taught last spring ^_^
I hope this is of some use
... Oh and I refuse to mark this mature because there's some nudity. We are all naked underneath all the clothes and nudity should not be a taboo. Arr!

For ages I've been using the 'bar and circle' technique found in Marvel Comic tutorial books and I've often found I still have some trouble with making it look right. I shall give your method a go and see how I do. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for posting this! I've been using a canablized version of the stick-figure technique for a few years now and I'm fairly sure I've botched it several times.
This is so helpful.

Yay! I'mma start using this as a reference, I always get the arms too long or the legs too short or the body misshapen. Hm, now I just gotta find a tutorial on how to draw womanly curves, mmm, womanly curves. Thanks Zarda-chan!

I somewhat tried it out with a quick sketch and it seemed to work out. I can also compose the anatomy much easier, where earlier anatomy was curse for me. I have still lots of work to do with my drawing, but this really helps. Thanks for great tutorial ^^.

Whee, I'm glad it works ^_^ Isn't it so much easier to make the anatomy correct. And difficult poses look more natural this way ^__^

Well, you are good artist. You should be proud of yourself ^^.
(You were cosplaying? Your table was quite near the door, like... the second or third. My memory is a bit fuzzy but I think I saw journal or something at y! and you said you'd be there. Although I was waaay too shy to say anything )

eeek, thank you! *^__^*
(yesyes, I was Jiraiya. well, on saturday I was Jiraiya with a very bad hairday (no white hair because it made me crazy) and yup, that table sounds about right ^__^ I'm really shy too
... but next time you see me, come and say hi anyways, I won't bite, probably I won't even talk, just meep and flail around
)

kalmanen In reply to Zardra [2007-10-19 08:15:30 +0000 UTC]
And next time I'll buy your table empty If you leave as good description of yourself, I'll come to say hi and we can meep together

Frankly, I don't feel like doing so... yet.
