Since Hunter/Smoker/Jockey each were first created as zombies, these designs are actually their purest forms in a way. Their survivor forms are really the offshoot.
I like how it's all fairly even until it gets down to Charger at the bottom who just stretches across the whole thing. OOPS. Sometimes her boot misses a toe or she doesn't have an elephant foot, it varies. Oh yeah, "above where her scar was" should be "above where her scar is", since she still has it as a zombie.
For an idea of what they're like as zombies and how they interact with each other, I wrote a fic here with Hunter and Smoker and one over here with all four of them zombie-ing it up.
My favorite part is how on the whole they are all wearing more clothes than their male counterparts.

actually its a parkour thing to cut down on wind resistance
its a very loose taping that doesnt cut off circulation and doesnt flatten down breats

wear a sports bra then.
and dude, not matter what kind of binding, its gonna flatten down boobs, and will make it hard to breathe.
cosplayers do this all the time, and if you make it too loose then it won't hold and boobs will flop out, or the binding will come loose.
you can't go loose on this, which means you're gonna have issues breathing.
parkour people know that as well. reasons girls wear SPORTS BRAS for it.

doesn't help any, it actually make it harder to move.

ive cosplayed zarlas hunter before and got the tape loose enough to move and stuff
its super hard though *_* so i know what you mean
ive cosplayed normal hunter too
the trick is to get something thats a bit bigger than your arm around and put it in the sleeve when you wrap the tape around
that way itll look tight enough not to be baggy but will be loose enough for proper movement

my best friends robert and katarina love left 4 dead and sometimes when we laugh really hard one of us says that they're turning into a jockey. katarina and i roleplay and we included tf2 and left 4 dead and anime, its really cool

Gosh I just love their designs~ Especially how their body shape differ like the...uhh...oh! Team fortress 2 guys ,like how you can tell one from another by their outline..or shadow or...one of those. Even from their human form it seems to carry over to these forms smoothy~ I love it~
I do wonder where Charger's wedding band went when that arm ends up all...smaller-ish. I hope she hasn't lost it in all the crazyness.

Survivor: Thank God! A safe room! It took me hours to get here! *opens door and jockey jumps out*

It's that laughing & sweet look that makes her all the more terrifying.

Hunter is my favorite in the game, and is my favorite on your ref sheet. Well done. I would hate the be playing L4D2 if I had to encounter Girl!Hunter...she's just too cute

I love the way you take into account the gameplay. Long hair like your Female Jockey would be a very difficult task to render in game. You also made thier basic shape recognizable, so a player would know whether they were friendly or foe, and even be able to tell gender from a glance.
This is very professional. Perhaps you should pursue a career in video game character design.

I think of it as two separate timelines - there's one where they become Survivors, and one where they become Zombies instead. They just bounce between the two depending on what ideas I have.

the way u put it kinda reminds me of batman Arkham asylum taking place in the seprate timeline of the Animated series where I believe instead of what happened to Tim Drake in the flashback in Batman Beyond Return Of The Joker that night's events were the same events that were in the Graphic Novel Batman The Killing Joke

Neat. But I think you overdid the 'asymmetrical' thing on the charger. Her left arm is far, far too thin.

There are gaming miniatures companies now coming out with lines of zombies miniatures obviously based L4D special infected. Some of them will be coming out with female versions of those special infected. This I'm going to use as a painting guide.
Anybody notice that the smokers are evolving towards something like the Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath?
