Reference sheet of my My Little Pony inspired character, Wavechase. Now I'm not obsessed with MLP, I don't even know the shows or the characters, but this idea popped into my head and I was all GOOD JOB ZAY GOOD JOB YOU'RE A CLEVER LITTLE GIRL.

Ehh the backstory is bad, but you know what I don't care.

Name: Wavechase
Gender: Female
Species: Earth Pony
Age: 4 years (16 human maturity- did research on this hehuheh)

Personality & Traits

Shy (at first)
Wavechase is shy and isn't somebody to start out a conversation. She can, in some cases, be called 'socially awkward' and doesn't really have all that much skill in keeping up a conversation, unless it's something she's really interested in. When others talk to her her voice is hesitant and somewhat quiet. Wavechase is two-faced, and in public with people she doesn't know, she keeps to herself and tries to stay out of the way. However, when she's on her own or with her friends, she's a completely different pony...

Silly and Tomboyish
This trait only applies around people she's comfortable with. Most don't see this side of Wavechase. She turns into a happy-go-lucky, silly little pony. Joking around and pulling pranks, she's always looking for a new adventure. Wave (as her friends call her) doesn't like fashion, hairstyle, or any kind of girly thing. It's all overrated to her, who cares? She'd rather spend her time exploring or with her good friends.

Nature-loving and in tune
Wave is always exploring the ocean and the forest, curious as can be. She had a passion for all the little critters and wishes she had a pet herself. Another trait this pony has is that she's never aloof- her attention is always sharp and she never misses a beat. Daydreaming is not a common occurence- the present and the world around her has her full attention.

Backstory

In the beginning...
Wavechase is a product of wrath and love. Her mother was a beautiful nurturing unicorn, one that had always had a slight gift with magic. For some odd reason, her magic would only work with the water- controlling its flow and its pressure. Nowhere else would her gift work. Wave's father, on the other hand, was a tough-as-nails pegasus, one who didn't give a care about anything but himself. It's a mystery how her mother and father ended up, but somehow it happened. Wavechase was born a healthy pony, her mane and tail appearing as regular as could be. Her first weeks of life were fine, she was cared for by her mother while her father went off to who-knows-where. But a little while later, things changed...

Her father came home one day, in a rampage. Wave's mother couldn't get him to tell her why he was so upset, instead all he did was fly about the house, vandalizing all of his possessions. And out of the blue, her father turned on her mother and Wave, eyes burning with anger. In a flash of magic that neither of them knew existed within her father, Wave's mother was shocked so badly that she was knocked unconscious. Wave was still much to young to understand what was happening. Her father scooped her up and flew off, deep into the land of Equestria. In the process he somehow managed to badly wound her right eye, giving her three long scar marks across it. He dropped her at the edge of a river, before turning and vanishing, abandoning his daughter to the waters. Wave never again saw either of her parents. She should have died there, but the water saved her. It gave her it's power, turning her mane and tail to water and tinting her body a bright blue. Wavechase had inherited her mother's magic with water, and without it, she may have never survived. She grew up in Equestria, still unsure of her blurry past.
