Personality:

[Timid] [Kind] [Extroverted] [Insecure] [Cautious]

Liv is timid, and easily comes off as a coward. Being small and lanky in stature, she isn’t nearly as strong as she’d like to be. She easily second-guesses herself, and at times, it is difficult for her to make decisions. She desires to be more like her friend and partner, Silas, who she perceives as brave and unafraid of the challenges ahead. Liv is kindly and is more than happy to lend a hand (or rather, hoof) when needed. Her timid and kind nature can lead more sinister individuals to take advantage of her, as she has a hard time turning anyone down.

As shy as she is, however, Liv finds strength and decisiveness when surrounded by her friends, especially Silas. This is why she chose to join Silas in his exploits as a member of the Adventurers. Her more cautious, fearful nature leads her to take safer routes, much to her partner’s dismay. However, her partner would admit that in the face of adversity, Liv is much braver than she thinks she is. She unabashedly supports Silas in the field, despite not being as powerful. Many of her friends believe she would be able to do so much more if she would only believe in herself.

History:

Liv grew up in a village of primarily Grass types. Her Sawsbuck mother and father worked in the fields just outside their village, tending to the crops with most of the other adults in the village. Liv was an only child, an odd occurrence in a village that built up large families to tend to and inherit their share of the land. Her lack of siblings to watch over her as a young fawn left her in the care of her neighbors, who were among the only non-Grass types in the village. It was here that Liv met her lifelong friend, Silas. Though the family was large, much like the rest of the village, Liv connected deeply with the Chimchar. His bold personality juxtaposed her timid one, leading her on adventures she otherwise wouldn’t have gone on. Sadly, Silas’s reputation as a rambunctious troublemaker led her parents to warn her away from getting too close to him, for fear she would end up the same way.

This warning fell on deaf ears, thankfully. Liv continued to meet up with Silas when they couldn’t watch over her. As time went on, Liv and Silas agreed that they had no desire to stay in the village for the rest of their lives. When the two of them came of age, Liv asked her parents if she could go explore further outside the village. They were hesitant to let her leave, especially knowing that Silas would be accompanying her, but they reasoned that leaving with him would be better than leaving alone, so they agreed to let her leave.

Together, Liv and Silas travelled outside the village, eager to explore the land they’d been shielded from. After a few weeks of travelling, they discovered an odd cave and ventured inside it, only to find that it was a fabled Mystery Dungeon. Though Silas wanted to explore the dungeon more, Liv managed to coerce him into leaving with her. This was met with great complaint, as Silas wanted to explore and find treasure. Liv, who had always had trouble telling Silas no, convinced him that they would need supplies to investigate a dungeon, which would most definitely be in the next town over. Her friend begrudgingly agreed, and they eventually arrived in Sanctuary. It was there that they learned about Guilds, and they promptly decided to form a team.

Extra Information:

• The flower on her head is an apple blossom.

Second Teammate

Name: Silas

Species: Chimchar

Age: Young Adult (about 17-18)

Gender: Male

Ability: Blaze (Powers up Fire-type moves when the Pokémon is in trouble.)

Nature: Bold

Characteristic: Proud of its’ power

Moveset:

Flame Wheel / 60 PW / 100 ACC / 25 PP

Leer / -- PW / 100 ACC / 30 PP

Fury Swipes / 18 PW / 80 ACC / 15 PP

Ember / 40 PW / 100 ACC / 25 PP

Personality:

[Rambunctious] [Idealistic] [Short-tempered] [Loyal] [Reckless]

Silas is a Chimchar full of vim and vigor. He’s often thought of as rambunctious and troublemaking by his elders, all of whom wish that he would channel his energy into more productive things rather than chasing adventures. He dives into things without really considering possible consequences, which often gets him into trouble. Still, despite his troublemaking streak, he’s incredibly loyal to his friends. Silas will gladly risk his neck for someone he trusts and is very reliable when he chooses to be.

He also staunchly desires to make the world a more interesting place, which leads him to chase after adventures. He dislikes it greatly when people say that his dreams aren’t productive. In fact, he’s quite short tempered. It doesn’t take much to get under his skin, which has gotten him into a handful of fights.

Thankfully, Liv steers him away from fights she know that he can’t win, and he’s had his butt saved by her more than once. Occasionally, he wishes that he could be more informed about his decisions and less irritable like Liv.

History:

Silas grew up in the same village as Liv. However, he was not born there. His biological parents, an Infernape and a Combusken, lost him as an egg as they were travelling between the more feral parts of the region. Thankfully, his current parents, a Sandshrew father and a Marill mother, found his egg in the woods near the village and adopted him. When he hatched, his Sandshrew and Marill siblings were delighted by the new addition to their family. However, both of his parents worried that a Fire-type baby would not fit in well with the Grass-type children.

For the most part, it was true. Some of the Grass-type families refused to allow their children near Silas for fear of them being hurt. Though his mother and father tried to explain that it wasn’t his fault for being born as he was, it still impacted the Chimchar’s self-esteem. It wasn’t until Liv, the Deerling girl from next door, started staying at his house, that he really became the vibrant Chimchar he is today.

Oftentimes, he would take Liv just beyond the village perimeter to play. Throughout their childhoods, Silas took Liv on adventures she would have been too afraid to go on by herself, while Liv kept Silas from seriously injuring himself by being more aware of their surroundings. They became very close, much like siblings. As they grew older, Silas and Liv determined that they wanted more from life than agriculture. When Silas asked his parents if he could go explore the world, he was met with little hesitation. They reasoned that energy like his wouldn’t be suited for farm life anyway.

So together, Silas and Liv set off to explore the region together. It wasn’t but a few weeks after their departure that the duo encountered an odd cave. When they entered it, they discovered it was one of the Mystery Dungeons they’d heard so much about. Though all his life, Silas had been warned to stay away from them, he found that he wanted nothing more than to explore this uncharted land. Much to his dismay, however, Liv coaxed him away from exploring the cave with the fact that they were completely unprepared to tackle a big challenge like that. Even though Silas protested, Liv managed to convince him that in order to properly explore a dungeon, they would need supplies. He reluctantly admitted that she was right, and that they would stop in the next town they saw for supplies. That town was Sanctuary. There, they learned all about Guilds, and when Silas heard about the potential adventures that could come from being in a team, he quickly convinced Liv to form one with him.

I really like how your team members are powerful in completely different ways. What I like most, though, is how one team member isn't solely supporting the other.  They definitely complement each other.
