Description

The earth god, Elyryn, one of the elder deities created his first children, the Mycenidar. These fungal-humanoids inhabit the northern rainforests of Tornel . Their country, Agontma, blankets most of the land in shade, while the Siolrae River divides it in half. The bestial denizens of this environment make it a dangerous one, but the Mycenidar are happy to call it home.

While small in stature, they are fierce fighters when engaged, using their knowledge of the forest to outwit, trap and eliminate their foes. Their blood contains a toxin that when exposed to the air will mist and can be fatal if inhaled in large quantities. However, the Mycenidar are strong proponents of peace and will only resort to violence as a last defense. Their nurturing and sympathetic attitude has won them many allies, both near and far.

Navigating the forest floor of Agontma can be a daunting task for those unfamiliar with Tornel’s dangers. Despite this, many are still willing to do so to learn from the Mycenidar. Their healers are sought after for recipes, tinctures and treatments. A myriad of medicinal herbs grow in the surrounding forests, but cannot be transported due to fast spoilage rates. It could be said they are one of the most well respected healers in the current world.

Medicine is not their only area of expertise. Crafting nearly all weapons, and armor from organic materials, many continue to seek insight into living off the land. As the oldest of Elyryn’s kin, it was natural for their brethren to seek their guidance. From the dawn of their own beginnings, Mycenidari  influence can be seen in the cultures of the Erutan’Faele, Hyurin, Dhranli, and the Drydin'Bahle. All children of the god of earth exhibit facets of nature itself, internally, visually, and emotionally, they are all representations of the realm of their father.

The time of day in which they bloom influences their coloring; those at dawn, will be gold caps, noon are green, dusk are red, and finally night are blue. Not only one of the oldest land dwellers they are also one of the shortest, standing between 3’ to 3’3/4 feet tall. Males typically have stronger builds, particularly broader shoulders, as well as facial moss. Females cannot grow moss on their face, but instead from their cap, which hangs down mimicking the hair of many other species.

Hey I create books on a website called wattpad. I was wondering if I could make a book with these species and weapons and that? I'll put a link to your page here.

That is very flattering, but I'm afraid I must decline as they were created specifically for my own world, and cannot exist in another.

Thank you! I am very happy with how they came out, even though they aren't as polished as my normal stuff. I wanted to try and give them more organic armor than other species. It was very difficult to try and figure out how to do that, but overall I am satisfied. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a note!

You're welcome. If it feels difficult to figure it out, I think it is a good thing that you have an original idea, keep at it!
