Description
I actually first saw this radicool browser software, Depthy , at the same time as painting these portraits. I wanted to try it out with Amon because, apart from being my favorite of the set, it was easy to work with the simple and clean shapes in his mask. Whereas the complex and organic facial structures of the others would take a little more precision. If you're trying it out (which you totally should) I'd recommend using your personal art software for better control, rather than their Depth Map painter. Many fun to see my art leap out at me like this. High-fives to for showing it to me.
Here's a higher quality, interactable version of Amon: depthy.me/#/ip/JRFoyEu

Well, I wasn't going to say it, but - yes - this is indeed awesome.
Thanks very much!

You're very welcome!
IΒ tried to use the same site with one of my pics, but it didn't work, is there any specific rule regarding which type of drawing I should use?

Hm - I don't think so. Perhaps try scaling down your image and test a different browser. Hope you find the solution.

Oh thanks! Yeah, for a prominently 2D artist, Depthy is really easy way to simulate 3D.

Oh, thanks. Yeah, it's a fun effect - and becomes radically cooler when it's with your own art.

So THAT'S how they've been doing it! I've been seeing this more often recently. Β Amon in a hood was perfect for this.
Also, I notice you take the time to answer pretty much every single comment on your artworks. Thanks, Zed

Oh, thanks very much. Reading a replying the comments is, like, my favorite part of the drawing process.
Glad you like it.

I used this tool: depthy.me/ to paint a "Depth Map" over the original image. It's basically just a black and white image, where Black equals Near, and White equals Far. The rest is taken care of by that tool.
