the first one I did was a Tablet and this one was just with the pen tool

No worries. ^^ Oh, really? The pen tool shouldn't leave any rickity lines, although I suppose if you have a lot of the...square things then it makes sense. Try to have as little as possible for a really clean, smoooth outline. And with just the pen tool, try drawing it in a more sketchy manner so the lines are quick and straight. 8D Drawing with tablets take a lot of practice. xD The best thing to do is practice. Fiddle around. And pen pressure is good. 8D
