SO MANY DOGS, SO LITTLE TIME. *dies*

Anywho, I made a sled dog team~! lD Whee. At first it was just going to be Carson, but then he wanted his buddies D: So I had to draw them all. I don't really like how Floody or Babe turned out, but I like the rest of them.

Alright, so here's the story.
Jackson Truesdale first heard of sleddog racing when he was six years old, when his mother and father were watching the Iditarod Trail Dog Sled Race on television, they told him that his grandfather, Red Truesdale, had been a dogsled racer, and his dream was to race in the Iditarod.

Jack fell in love with the sport, and begged his parents to let him be a racer like his grandfather. His parents, thinking he would forget about the idea within a week, promised him that in one year, if he learned everything there was to know about racing, then they would move up north and he could start sleddog racing.

Needless to say Jack learned everything there was to know, from the terms, the most famous trails, to every winner of the Iditarod and their lead dogs. But by the time a year had rolled around, his parents had forgotten about the promise, and his father had recently gotten his dream job at a local newspaper.

For weeks Jackson pleaded with them to keep their promise, and even tried to run away and travel to Alaska by himself, and eventually his parents gave in. They got in contact with an old family friend, a dogsledder in Willow, Alaska, and sent Jack for the month to live with them, hoping he would get sick of the dogs and come home.

But when they flew up to visit after a month, they saw how happy and vibrant he had become, so they let him stay permanently.

Eventually the family he was staying with gave him his first dog, whom he named Togo, and a portion of their kennels. The kennels was called Red Kennels in honor of his grandfather, and he began buying dogs from breeders. He now has over 35 dogs, including an 8-dog sled team, and a sled team in training.

Bronson Johnson
As one of Jack's lead dogs, Bronson is good-willed and extremely obedient. He is Jack's only Labrador Husky, whom he imported as a puppy. When they were attacked by a bear on the trail, Bronson defended them from the attack, but his tail was broken and had to be amputated.

Spirit of Radio
Togo was Jack's first dog, and was named after the under-famous (in Jack's opinion) sled dog of the same name. (And yes, his official name was inspired by a Rush song.) Togo is lazy and disobedient off the trail, but he makes a wonderful lead dog.

Pandora's Box
Pandora is one of Jack's swing dogs. She has an extremely high prey-drive, and often has to wear blinders while running, but is easily the fastest dog on the team.

Royal Jester
Babe is one of Jack's swing dogs. He is the quirkiest dog on the team (as he refuses to walk on wood floors unless they're outdoors, has to be blindfolded to be put into a crate or car, won't wear a boot on his left hind foot, ect.) and is Jack's only Greyster mix.

Anaconda
Andy is the youngest dog on the team, and is Togo's grandson and Floody's half-brother. He is rather timid, and is currently terrified of Pandora, but is learning the ropes fairly quickly. He is a running dog.

Riddle of Life
Riddle is one of Jack's running dogs, and is currently helping to teach Anaconda how to follow the other dogs. She is very outgoing and loving (the type that would knock you down and lick your face) and isn't scared of anything. Because of this when they were attacked by a bear on the trail, she was the first to try to fend it off (and ended up getting the tip of her ear bitten off).

Carson City
Carson is one of Jack's wheel dogs, and is perhaps the calmest and most level-headed of any of them. He's also the largest, but is terrified of thunder.

Floodgate
Floody is very rambunctious, and is perhaps the best jumper in the kennel. He's the second largest, but acts very puppy-like. He loves water, which is where his name comes from. He is a wheel dog.
