Decided to this after the Danerboots' fan fic reading. After we stopped reading we just chatted about how there are bronies who get butthurt over ethnic versions of ponies (i.e. Black Twilight, Latina Pinkie Pie, etc.). I also recently saw this [link] on TUMBLR. So yeah, I support ethnic ponies.Related content

Wait, they're ponies. They shouldn't reflect human ethnicities, otherwise, it would seem racist. I honestly don't care what color they are, as it's their personality that counts.

I picture Pinkie Pie as black and Fluttershy as Japanese. Applejack's a southerner, Rarity's a California girl, Twilight's mixed white/Asian, and Rainbow Dash is Jewish. Zecora's Ethiopian, and Derpy's Swedish.

Oh they were practically told that from when one of the VA's at bronycon mentioned they were inspired to make it after seeing a lot of nice humanized ponies. They no doubt saw the butthurt comments over who should and shouldn't be what race.

Infact, at least on the image board I visit a lot, that's usually the only reason the pictures involving stuff like black rarity/ Fluttershy, whatever get flak; cause they look like a utter crap. So yeah, In my experience it's less of racism and more of garrish, ugly character designs and clashing colors as to why people can get bitter toward this kinda thing .

I'm okay with them too. The issue is good chunk of the pictures involving them tend to suck hard. A shame really.

In my head, I immediately thought of Twilight as Indian. Rarity as Asian. Pinkie as a little chubby. Rainbow Dash as tan (perhaps hispanic, she's in the sun ALL THE DAMN TIME). Then I went on deviantART and saw all these negative reactions to interpreations like Muslim!Fluttershy or MtF!Fluttershy. I like ALL the versions, even the ones that conflict with my personal headcanon b/c it's cool to see how people think!

I rarley watch the show, so the general idea I get for these characters as humans are shaky. I am certain, though, that Rarity would be a pale Caucasian (posh European galore!) and Twilight Sparkle some kind of Asian (I first thought east Asian, but Indian works too. She looks good in tan). Applejack is a definite southern US american. As for the others? I have no idea.Β

Sorry man, but you're preaching to the wrong choir. This is the internet!! There are a shit-ton of racist fuck heads out there that love to harp on people because of their race. On the internet it's super easy to do this because 1. THIS IS THE INTERNET!!!- People CAN and WILL make fun of other people because the people that do know that there's nothing the people being made fun of can do. Honestly, I've had my share of times where I've made fun of people and laughed at there rage because I wasn't afraid of the consequences. This is were trolling comes into play, people troll for one reason...to get a reaction, knowing there's no repercussions for their actions, trolls love to make people angry. Now I know there are some people out there that are legit racist, but what were doing is not going to change their views and opinions. Really, as I see it, this is just more fuel for an upcoming flame war, I can already see brownie/trolls licking their lips, ready to dive into our (supposedly) hurt butts. I can even bet that they love the fact that we're trying so hard to make them butthurt that we ourselves are looking butthurt, creating an ultimate stalemate. I think we should collectively as a whole start slowing down this charge to the unknown, for we could (as a whole) turn into the ultimate lolcow (which is exactly what the rabids and trolls want us to look like.)
tl;dr- I like the stamp and this cause is very well meaning but I feel that we should stop fanning the flames.

I'm not a pony fan, but I support any animal creatures being humanized into ethnicity. When I was a Warriortard, I imagined all the Windclan being black or tanned from being in plain sunlight all the time, especially since many were dark colors.
I'm not a Warriors fan anymore, but I still wonder why we don't have more black, Asian, Russian, German, etc. humanizations.

By that logic Juniper Lee, Sari Sumdac,the entire cast of Aladdin, the entire cast of Prince of Egypt, the entire cast of Avatar:The Last Airbender, Frida Suarez and Kimiko and Omi from Xiolin Showdown would all be white. Voice actors being of a different ethnicity than the character they play isn't uncommon.
