), Sophia Esteed (aka. how long is a 100 metre track? 
) and Albel Nox (aka. the eighth wonder of the world!

There’s quite a bit I want to say about this comic but I’m hard pressed for time, so for a change, I’m just going to number my description points and you may pick out what you will!
1. WTF, “selective hearing”? - It’s a common trend in all RPGs for the lead character to repeat words and phrases that have just been said, just for the sake of beating the importance of those words into the player’s head… (ooh I just rhymed)
but in Star Ocean 3, the trend is CHRONIC. 
One day I’m going to sit down and personally count the number of times Fayt winds up repeating things by rephrasing the exact sentence as a question, or where all else fails, interjects the ever reliable “Huh?” Hence I have a theory that Fayt has selective hearing, or… well, just has several kilos worth of ear wax to offload. O__o Mix my poking-fun with Sophia death and you have a very happy Zen camper! 
2. “Stone rain…?” - For non-SO3 playing deviants, Stone Rain is a magic spell in the game which Fayt and Sophia can both learn. Sophia gets mushed in this comic because Fayt wound up saying the words “Stone Rain” and automatically casts the spell. Just thought that needed to be cleared up otherwise I’ll be getting lots of knocks on my door by addled people…!
3. Gee, you really don’t like Sophia… - Hell yeah. ^__^ Now this isn’t to say I don’t use her as a party member – for my past two playthroughs she’s been one of my permanent members since she’s a better option than Adray, and I’ve put up with her long enough to level her up to level 255… but in all other aspects SHE MUST DIE.
One of the reasons can be seen in the first three panels of the comic. Sophia’s dialogue there was taken straight from the game – those three sentences are some of the things she says whenever she levels up, and it’s the first one in particular that really gets my goat because I hatehatehate singsong talk! >__< Secondly I have a great dislike for pink, and Sophia wears pink rampantly. Yuck. Third, she’s a nagging goody-two shoes. (“That’s not very nice!” ) Fourth, listening to her voice makes me lose the will to live. O__o BUT on the up side, you do get the delightful option of insulting her by calling her an idiot during the game. I exercise my right freely and joyfully. 
As much as I am put off by Sophia, she is still only second on my list of most hated RPG female character of all time since first place will always be filled by Rinoa of FF8. ROWRRRR. 
4. Albel fangirl, huh? - I’m not even going to try and deny that this was a bloody obvious excuse to draw Albel half naked. *Coff* >________>;;;;;;
5. Technical stuff? - I don’t know why but comics always take a lot out of me, so I should stay away from them otherwise I’d never upload anything!
This comic was spread out over 5 A4 pages and then slowly inked, cg’ed, word-bubbledfied and finally pieced together over three days. I simplified my style as best as I could and did one hell of a lot of copy-and-pasting but it still took ages, go figure. O__o I felt out of my element anyway, since I’m not used to drawing “silly” things so this was a bit of a challenge. This is obviously the tallest deviation I’ve ever made, arranged in one line because I didn’t want anyone skipping to the ending too early… and I know I say this every time I upload a comic page but I SWEAR I’m taking a good long break from comics for a loooong time. That’s all I have to say for now, winter has numbed my fingers and drained me of all typing power… T___T *Crawls back under her blanket*

It's pretty amazing, the impact Albel had! I've come across people still RP-ing as him - now if that isn't a reason to get a high definition SO3 remake, I don't know what is. XD Anyhoo thanks for stopping by, I'm glad you enjoyed reading my comics.

SO3 should get a remake, I agree, but also it's own movie, or at least an anime. SO2 has one, though incomplete.
Albel is one of the few main characters that actually has a distinct personality (Sophia it's just awful, Maria is supposed to be a leader but is also bland, Mirage is almost a copy-paste or Maria...) and it is so well developed, with such a very interesting background and reasons to be what he is, that you just can't help to love him. He is just awesome!
I tried to play it again recently on PC using an emulator, but it does not work properly. I'll have to get my old PS2 out of storage. XD

Yeaaahhh what happened to an anime adaptation! Lost opportunity. ;__; I do have the SO3 manga which I got to inspire me to learn Japanese, but that obviously failed since I've been to Japan twice now and all I could read was hiragana for "ramen", "udon" and "soba". 
Albel was definitely the stand out, which was interesting in an RPG since that honour is usually given to some big-bosomed woman. 
Haha I must confess to playing a pirated version of SO3 for PS2 all my years, though I finally went legit and bought a second hand copy off eBay. But when it arrived I could see the disc was covered in scratches!

I have bought the game twice. The first time it was accidentally broken by a friend (He had used the second disc waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than I had) and wouldn't load the first scene at all. I still have the second one I bought and I am thinking of buying a third one, just in case. XD
I like Vincent Valentine, but Albel is way better, in my opinion. His design is more expressive of how dangerous and battle driven he is, whereas Vincent's leans more into mysterious. Same with their personalities: Albel only wants to fight strong opponents to become stronger, but sometimes showing some honor (Typical warrior); Vincent is too calm, as if nothing was actually interesting to him.
I have also read the SO3 comic, but only part of it. I couldn't find much of it in english. T.T

It drives me nuts not knowing what's going in some parts, especially one of the bonus stories involving Fayt, Cliff, Nel and Ameena's underwear.

I have an original UK version of FFVII. Works perfectly. If I tried to sell it now, it would grant me quite some cash. But, obviously, I wouldn't think about it. It's my precious!!!
I've got a lot of trophies (If the memory card still works...). I think only half of the optional Bosses in Sphere related and the higher difficulty ones are left... But I will NOT go after those. Too hard for me. XDDD
We can hope together. If a game like that ever came out... I would buy the console only for that game.
Yes, I remember his faces! They were so funny! I remember one scene where both he and his face said "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT???". So funny. XDD

Manga Cliff was freaking awesome! Actually, the whole trio of them were just one hilarious comedy routine - Nel raging on Cliff, and poor Fayt caught in the middle.

I never played Legend of Dragoon, but I've seen people play it and it looked interesting, though not easy. It was the one magic were items and you had a very small space for items, right?
Haha, true. For battles that take more than 30 minutes, I don't bother with that. At some point, I am so tired of changing characters, chaining skills and all that that I end up making a silly mistake and screw it up. I have all the rest of trophies, including the battle chain or hit chain ones. Those were hard to get!

Haha wow, it's been so long since I played Legend of Dragoon that I can't remember much! I do recall it wasn't a button masher - you had to press buttons in time for every single attack. And the voice acting was baaaad. But hey, everyone had cool wings. XD
No way was I going to bother with those no damage trophies, that's life I'd never get back!

And what's wrong with pink? Have you not seen that pink is a sign of AWESOMENESS?
Interestingly, it should be noted that as late as 1950's, pink was still considered a "boy" colour. Pink was seen as a shade of red, which relates to manly concepts like blood and war. Blue was associated with the Virgin Mary and was seen as a more serene colour reserved for girls (in fact, the traditional colour for wedding dresses used to be blue before Queen Victoria popularized the white dress; all that remained of that is the line calling for "something blue" in the rhyme. Also, it explains why Fayt is a bishounen). Early in WWI, the French Army uniform included bright pink trousers. This was changed when the leaders realized it made them easy targets.

I have to say, though Sophia's voice wasn't the best, Farleen's is the one that makes me want to dig out my own eardrums, preferably with something sharp so I don't have to listen to it any longer. *Shudders*

Sophia annoys me as well. If there was a way to kick her out of the party, she'd be long gone by now. I tried getting her to level up, but I ended up having to resurrect her too many times to make it worth my trouble. So she'll just have to stay at level 10.

I'd do the exact same thing if Albel asked me to marry him. And naked Albel is always a joyous occasion that should be celebrated with dancing, singing, and general fangirling (even though I hate that).
