*crais* the longer I render the stiffer it gets T.T rendering my pair was like the most painful thing cuz I had to watch all my dynamic lines disappear guh xD had to leave them in a bit cuz alfdkjs

But I do want to take this moment for a little nostalgia; this picture I drew 5 years ago, one of my first competitions entered and one of my first placings as well, and the first XC competition Ash ever took part in. I just. It looks like absolute ass and looking back at that, I'm really satisfied with where I got to now, also how much Ash has developed too heh

just love how strong and powerful Jude is though, he may not be the most flexible (cuz that's how he's going into the curve rn XD) but he stroongg and will charge through anything with no regards for losses haha Ash should probably train some more accuracy and flexibility with him before they go into SJ again xD also better watch out for branches, Ash LMAO no mercy with these tall horses.

"You did what??", Ash stared at Riley right after he was called to the starting spot.
"I registered you by your true name. It's fine, trust me." Riley sounded far too calm about this.
"Oi, Krisztián, this is going too far for a teasing, if you-" "Are you saying you don't trust me." He spoke with more authority in his voice.
Ash sat back into the saddle. "If I'm going to be shot off this horse-" The fact that he was towering over his boss didn't change a thing, as always.
"I have everything under control, by now you should know me better than that."
Ash was still nervous, Jude could feel it, too.
"I know it's a lot of pressure right now-"
"PF, you think."
Riley didn't like that snarky response and frowned.
Ash rolled his eyes. "Glare at me all you want. I was once your equal, you know."
Riley scoffed - amused: "You were never my equal. I've always been a step ahead of you."
Ash smirked. "You wish. We all know I'm the better charmer ~" Jude felt how the tension defused. But he slowly started to get impatient instead.
"If that's what you value. I hope you know what's going to happen if you're not going to hold up my reputation." He 'sounded' cold but Ash could read past his facade.
And grinned a little. "'My'. How selfish. I better let my tank loose on the battlefield then."
"If you're waiting for a good-luck-kiss we're still going to be here tomorrow."
Ash snorted. "Don't worry, I wouldn't want your kind of luck in a million years. Sir." He rode off with a mock-salute.
Part of him knew that Riley must have good reason to send him first. After such a long time of no competitions... Riley could tell there was still such fire in him, waiting to burn. That Ash needed to bear such responsibility to function and feel fulfilled, always chasing, always with a goal, always something to protect. Despite their past rivalry, despite their bickering and teasing, Ash would never forget what a comrade and true friend he was to him whenever it really mattered. There was more to it than merely accepting him as a leader solely because he used to be, but because he could rely on him to make the hard decisions for their good and protect them in any way possible. Besides, leading leaders was never an easy task.
