Description
Pretty self-explanatory, just felt I needed more practice with female body types. Next practice batch will focus more on perspective and foreshortening!NOTE: If you want to use one of these as a reference, please credit back to this deviation!

I saw in one of your replies to someone's comment, you said that you used an art mannequin; do you mind me asking what kind of mannequin you use? I have a five-inch wooden mannequin that isn't nearly flexible enough to do any decent poses to work with.

I never had the patience to deal with those wooden mannequins, their anatomy and posing was just so limited.
what I have/use is this www.mhtoyshop.com/woman-pale-o⦠As well as a model of the male version. I'm not expert on art models, but these are absolutely fantastic for practice because they're REALLY flexible and pretty anatomically correct, overall, if having anime-ish proportions. They're incredibly hard to get ahold of, though, because they go out of stock so frequently, and only come back in stock every few months if even that.

Thanks for the help! Just by looking at the pictures I can tell that these will be so much easier to use than what I have. I appreciate you helping me out. ^-^

You're welcome! And yes they're drop-dead useful. They're a little on the spendy side, but worth it if you really plan to draw a lot!

To be fair, I looked them up on Amazon as well and they're twenty dollars more expensive there. I don't mind thirty as much. Once again, thanks for the advice!Β

Question: Do you look at pictures for references when doing poses? or are you just fantastic and are just..... god at being able to do these? o-o
(Cuzidothat) ANATOMY IZ HARD

I sometimes do look at pics for reference, but for most of these I actually used a handy little art mannequin. Because yes, anatomy can be darn hard, especially for perspective shots.
