Description The Mark 2 Defiant really does not fly any differently from the original, save for two considerations. One, because it has traded payload capacity and delta-v capability for robustness, it can no longer carry cargos directly to GEO or LLO without some refueling - not actually a significant loss, because its payload capacity to LEO is still so high that it can easily carry a transfer stage that can move just as much or more than the Mark 1 to those same places. Two, the top-mounted engines minimize plume interaction with the ground, and the airbags well distribute the pressure, such that the ship does not require a dedicated pad for landing or launching, and can principally go anywhere that has enough room and is ready to refuel it. Rapid passenger or cargo delivery across the globe could well be possible for this vessel, but it's really off Earth that such capability would truly get to shine...
