Here he is folks, the Owl who Clockwerk was before he became a mechanical monstrosity.

Clockwerk/Klaaa's origin starts in the prehistoric era, during the Ice Age, where he and his flock of fellow owls lived in an inactive volcano. In this land of theirs, they would steal food and valuables from all animals around their volcano home and those animals would struggle to survive in the harsh cold of the Ice Age while the owls were able to keep warm from a large volcanic stone that endlessly radiated heat. The Owls had this stone held up on a stone pillar they built and made sure none but them would benefit from this warmth. That all changed when a large cave raccoon snuck into the volcano to steal the heat stone so that his freezing tribe might have a chance to survive. All seemed to be going well for this cave raccoon stealing the stone until an owl detected him and alerted his flock to the theft of their stone. The cave raccoon would’ve been captured and killed if he didn’t use this incredible strength to crack the volcano and bring the narrow volcano opening down, causing a cave-in. The cave raccoon made it out with the stone while all of the owls seemingly died, but that would not be the case. One managed to survive and had to flee deeper into the volcanic caverns, this owl was Klaaa. There was nothing but death and darkness around him with the loss of his bretheren and being trapped. Death seemed all but inevitable until Klaaa came upon a dead end cave filled with strange glowing yellow crystals. Klaaa remembered the night that these crystals came from the stars themselves and flew into the volcano's depths where no owl dared to follow. Klaaa waited days for starvation or thirst to finally end him but it never seemed to come. The crystal itself seemed to be keeping Klaaa alive despite all logic saying that this shouldn’t be possible. For years, Klaaa was left in the cave with nothing but his thoughts, thoughts of losing his fellow owls and thoughts of the one that ruined his life, that damn cave raccoon.

One day, a rumbling started and the volcano was on the verge of erupting. The rocks that previously caused the cave-in now shifted and Klaaa found freedom possible once more and flew out before the volcano erupted. Klaaa found a mountain to land on and took a view of the land. No longer was it covered in ice and snow and the people were no longer as primitive as he once knew. Klaaa was actually stuck in the cave for 7,000 years and it was now 3000 BC. Klaaa no longer knew this world and would explore it to try and wrap his mind around all the changes that occurred during his impriosenmnt. Klaaa had to also had to make sure his yellow crystal necklace was with him at all times as if he strayed too far from it, time would seem to catch up with him and his body would wither into old age. Luckily, Klaaa would go back to it and regain his youthful immortality. Klaaa’s travels took him to many places around the world but his life would take a turn when he arrived in Ancient Egypt and caught sight of a raccoon thief and was immediately reminded of the one who ruined his life, somewhat in appearance and also in the fact that this thief used a hook-like tool, much like the cave raccoon. Klaaa would try to go after this thief, later revealed to be Slytankhamen, but the thief was too crafty to let the owl catch him and would elude the villainous owl for many years. Slytankhamen himself would question who the robed hooded owl was and got many cryptic answers like how his family took everything from Klaaa.

For centuries, Klaaa would go after all Coopers and his mission to end them would get harder with each generation and this was thanks to The Thievius Raccoonus, an ancestral book of thievery techniques that all Coopers would learn from and contribute to. Things seemed bleak for Klaaa’s mission until the Industrial Age started and he came across a female pink mouse who was an ingenious inventor and went by the moniker of “The Blacksmith.” Klaaa was amazed by her mechanical creations and wanted her to create for him something that will help him in his quest for revenge against a family of thieves. When The Blacksmith heard of these thieves Klaaa was after, she accepted the deal, but would need materials and resources to build him a weapon. Klaaa strong armed his way into a bank vault and retrieved enough money to pay The Blacksmith. Klaaa was particularly interested in a flying machine the Blacksmith had crafted but never finished. For months, The Blacksmith would work on the flying machine and craft it to look in appearance to the earliest form of owl and she would even find a way to have it run on the power of Klaaa’s yellow crystal, which he barely scratched the surface of understanding. When the creation was finished, it was a large metallic bird with blades for wings and made of a strong yet light metal for durability and flight. Klaaa entered the machine which, inside, looked far too advanced for anything of the current era and Klaaa was amazed. He activated the machine by placing his yellow crystal in a certain power port and the machine seemed to embrace Klaaa and make him one with it. Klaaa was no longer just Klaaa anymore, he was Clockwerk.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Flight, Great Strength, Longevity.

Equipment: Immortality Crystal. Formerly owned a red hood before becoming Clockwerk.
