From small beginnings, great things grow....3 days work and I still hate it.... so it's submitted rather than me bin it.
from scratch in photoshop. 2 snake skin textures (badly) applied.

You know I was asking myself why did I came to such conclusion
the point is that dragons never lay their head like this
unless they are out of strength and dying
Also this sight of a dragon-mother which seems so tired and hopeless...
this little one will have a hard time...

I'm actually pretty amazed at how well the painted and photo textures work together so well. I think that this is probably the -only- picture I can remember seeing photo textures applied properly to a digital painting, most people just kinda throw them in and they look disgusting. :\

wow, you are really hard on yourself. This a good work! The wings are awesome. The eyes....wowzer.
Maybe the scales could use a bit more definition. And if you want to nit pik, perhaps the baby could look a little more 'seperate' from the adult. And I only looked hard to see what you wern't please with...Everything else is teriffic.
I still think it's fantastic.
