this is Twilight Conflict III, but its less twilight and more full on conflict now
I have to say that when I was reworking this again (yes, for the 3rd time) I had an absolute blast. Its very refreshing to get so much back when creating something as complex as this
The sky is a new one for me. I've never done a full cloudscape like this, so it was great fun adding the details like the lightning and stuff. I used a custom brush in photoshop for the clouds and just built it up from scratch again until I was happy with it. I'm gonna have to do more skies now, it was so rewarding!
I'm not entirely happy about the frost dragons wings, but its a lot closer than I thought I'd get. Snow is not my strong point LOL
I'm sure I'll work on v.IV soon too, I still want to replace the dragons with something more hand drawn....

Fire And Frost? Reminds me of a battle in WoW when a Fire And a Frost Mage fought each other! Are these dragons them? We will never know.

To be honest, my first impression was "Wow, the frost dragon's wings look amazing." I think they're fine the way they are.

i have mto disagree, its an awesome pic, but i think that the frost dragons wings look awesome as, abd the flame dragons wings would look heaps cooler if they were fully made of fire, and the fire rippled off the wings more, instead of looking like it just kinda vaporises... dont take it too harsh, cos thats my only criticism, the rest is ballistic! love it!

Well, you probably get asked this stupid question tons, so I dunno if you'll dignify it with an answer, but would you allow permission for that image to be used in a website layout? I'm currently remaking mine and that really speaks what I'm going for.
If you do decide to answer, I would be most grateful.
By the way, I bought your 2005 calendar with this image in it for a friend for Christmas. It's so cool, I'm most likely gonna break down and get me one. As soon as I get some money scraped up that's not for others' gifts.

Excellent work, or course, but my idea for the piece was the two dragons on the ground, but positioned similarly. Actually the frost dragon was on the left. They are staring at each other, mouths open howling. The dragon's mouth is eminating immense heat, causing ripples and smoke. The ground underneath the frost dragon is frozen and there is a frosty mist coming on his breath. But, I always love your dragon series whatever you do, I'm with it.
