It counts as a flash, even if frame by frame. You don't have to tween for it to be a flash.
I noticed an error. When she blinks, the shadow over her eye twitches. You should fix that, if possible. The tail shadow is relatively stiff as well. Just some critique.

because we are lazy people. though this guy isn't. [link] its a bunch of gifs from the scott pilgrim game, he worked on the character animations. hes amazing, you can tell the animation is epic ;D
