after failing to achieve being together.In the end Amaterasu must return to the Celestial Plains, where the Gods live, since the Gods couldnt accept that a goddess (amaterasu, white female wolf) remains on earth and fall in love with a mortal (Link, male green wolf), so they must say goodbye... never to see each other again.

despues de no poder estar juntos.Al final Amaterasu debe regresar a los Campos Celestiales, donde viven los Dioses, debido a que ellos no aceptan el hecho de que una Diosa (Amaterasu, loba blanca) permanesca en la Tierra y se enamore de un mortal (Link, lobo verde), asi que deben de decir adios... para nunca volverse a ver.

More of a Link X Midna shipper, but as someone who's just started playing Okami, I can't deny that seeing Wolf Link and Amaterasu together is pretty sweet. Good work on this.

You're welcome. I've actually heard a healthy mixture of both positive and negative receptions of the game, so I'm going into playing Okami with more of an open-mind. From what I've seen so far, I can say that while I do understand where some of the criticism is coming from, the game is pretty great so far...!

I REALLY hope they make more Okami games! Okami is a n AMAZING game and the graphics is the most GORGEOUS and UNIQUE I've ever seen in video games, even todays video games! Also LOVE the music. So much so that I got the soundtrack!

That's so sad. I only got into Ōkami recently with Ōkamiden and I can easily imagine Amaterasu having this kind of relationship with Wolf Link. However as depressing as this separation may be, at least they part in life as friends rather than be split by death as enemies.

Compared to the original Ōkami, it's an underappreciated sequel. The critics praise this impressive game, but I've seen a fair amount of fans hate the game and I don't know why. Ōkamiden has only ever had its original Nintendo DS release while Ōkami has been "ported" to the Nintendo Wii and it got an HD remake, Ōkami HD, on the PlayStation 3.
Chibiterasu being secretly Wolf Link and Amaterasu's pup? In this fanfiction, it would be interesting. Considering they never reveal neither Link's or Amaterasu's parents (with the exception of some Link's family members seen/mentioned in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Amaterasu's father being established as Shiranui, kinda), it's kind of hard to imagine how these two normally reincarnate. Issun actually briefly questions who could be Chibiterasu's father at the beginning of Ōkamiden, but he quickly withdrawals his curiosity...

Sad to see that Amaterasu had to go, though I think in reality if she wanted to stay the other gods couldn't have denied her since shes basically their boss. I think Ammy needs to clean house up in heaven then come back to Link kinda like this:
