Ah, a point every critic has made about him, and you got to agree it is a ridiculous outfit. It'll only work if he was in a Volcano or a Crash Test Dummy store room.
I think the fact he laughs uncontrollable and wins fights by farting in his enemies faces (yes, that did happen), also makes him fail as a Ninja too. I guess someone though; "This kids got a Demon Fox that can kill us all, inside him. Let him live his own little world."

Naruto is a guilty pleasure of mine, but no character in it is truly attired for the art of ninja work. But since they dont actually go around sneaking and doing shit like that, it doesnt bother me much.
