Description
This is my third attempt at a photograph like this. It's to symbolize the fact that I want to be a writer when I grow up but I am still "swimming" in the idea. This is my final shot in this series. This has captured my entire body, and though my hands are a bit unnatural, it is still rather symbolic and is complete in figure. Flawed but good.Related content

Although I'm more of a person for nature shots, since this one is au naturelle, and because I happen to love swimming (the real kind) perhaps I can offer my thoughts:
(1) not to be harsh/rude/inconsiderate, but laying there, with all of the newspapers lain below you, flat on the floor, covering every inch of it... it reminds me of an animals cage... a birdcage in particular... and it isn't a pleasant association (at least with your intended meaning).
(2) If you really want the effect of 'swimming' to be shown, I think that you should actually be swimming: actually have your hands moving, and your legs kicking, as if you really were! Perhaps a prop might help, like a cap or goggles... or having your body wet.
(3) The newspapers could be so much more! Folded, crumpled, and strewn about - they could be your water! They need to cover you - like real waves, as you force your way though them. This could be something to play with also - a good paper wave can easily cover something up if you want it to remain hidden...
Anyway... that's all that I can think of. Maybe give the whole thing another go.
