This is a little tutorial on how to draw a triquatra.
First of, I'm Norwegian so I might use the wrong words for some stuff, but it's basically understandable

What you need is:
A peace of paper
A circle tool
A pen for inking
An eraser

1. The first circle you make will become the mid circle of the triquatra, so make sure you have room on all sides for the rest.
After making the first circle, don't move the with of the circular tool! Put the spike on the circle and make a little tag on the circle. Then put the spike in the tag and make a new tag. Do this all the way around.
If you're careful enough the circle should be divided in 6 equal parts.

2. You're now gonna use three of them, every second one. Make the with of the circle tool a little wider. Put the spike in one of the three points and make a half circle. Do the same in the two other points you chose with that same with. They should overlap outside the circle.
There you have a decent triquatra But...lets go further to make it look even better

3. Lets make it thick instead of those thin lines. Make the with of the circle tool different from what you had it on step to. Sometimes it's best to make it smaller to look better, but usually it's best to make it bigger. Put the spice in the point and make a new half circle outside you're other half circle. Do this in all three points, and also put it in the middle spot to make a new circle in the middle (also there choose to go either inside or outside, according to what looks best)
And remember: Different with gives different look. Play around till you find the combination you like best =^_^=

4. So, now we are ready for the clean up. You can make a regular one, with all the inner lines erased, or my way. I like to make the triquatras outer lines to go over and under the circle and itself. To do that simply follow the line with the eraser. When you reach an overlap you erase the first one, let the next one be, erase the next one, let the next one be. And there you have it. Also erase all the extra lines at the tips and the points you made on the circle.

5. Now that it's nice and clean take you're inking and make a nice clear inking. When thats dry erase all the lines.

6. Now for the coloring. To make it more 3D looking put shadows under the overlapping, and highlights on top of the overlaps.
It also looks best if the circle is a different color from the rest

Well, thats it! There you have it, a triquatra!
I found out about this technique on my own a few years ago. I was in High School, can you blame me for getting bored during math
Made cause I'm a huge fan of Charmed, were the triquatra is a major symbol.

Info about the triquatra: The triquatra is also a Christian symbol for the treenety between the father, the son and the holy ghost. But they stole it from the wicca were I believe it stands for Mind, Body, and Spirit (Soul)

Please let me know what you think of this tutorial =^_^=

It's not really a Wiccan symbol. It originated in Ireland, it is probably just the easiest Celtic Knot out there. However the Wiccans do use it to symbolize unity, or three parts of a whole. However the preferred symbol for Wicca is the pentagram which symbolizes the five spiritual elements. I should know. I'm Wiccan.

I do to. I would practice it if I found a coven, it's not to fun alone.... Most rituals takes more than one person also.
Wicca is in a way our version of Yoga. It's about finding the calm inside you're self, and get in unity with the nature and spirits
